In this fifth and final RadEqual webinar in a series on overcoming the ‘mid-career stall,’ hear from Dr. Jennifer Harvey and Dr. Maureen Kohi as they dive into strategies to communicate with your chair to help guide career directionality, find your circle of influence and gain mentorship. 

Dr. Jennifer Harvey is the Dr. Stanley M. Rogoff & Dr. Raymond Gramiak Professor and Chair of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester. At URMC, she serves as Chair of the URMFG Finance Committee, and is a member of the URMFG Executive Committee and Medical Center Board. She previously served as Professor of Radiology at the University of Virginia Health System where she led the division of Breast Imaging and the Breast Care Program, as well as Vice-Chair for Education and Faculty Development. Her research interest is the association of mammographic density and breast cancer risk as well as predication of breast cancer risk through modeling. She has more than 70 peer reviewed publications and has given national and international invited lectures at more than 100 meetings. She is also the breast section head at the AIRP. Her book, “Making the Diagnosis: A Practical Approach to Breast Imaging” has sold more than 1500 copies and has been translated into 4 different languages.

Maureen P. Kohi, MD, FSIR, FCIRSE, FAHA is the Ernest H. Wood Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Dr. Kohi received her medical degree from New York Medical College with honors and completed her Diagnostic Radiology residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). While a resident, Dr. Kohi completed a one-year research fellowship as the recipient of the NIH/NIBIB T32 Training Grant. Following her residency, Dr. Kohi completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at UCSF, followed by a second fellowship in Women’s Imaging at UCSF. Prior to joining UNC, she served as Associate Professor and Division Chief of Interventional Radiology at UCSF. Dr. Kohi’s primary research interest is in the field of women’s health and interventions. Her research focuses on evaluating different minimally invasive treatment options for symptomatic uterine fibroids and adenomyosis, optimizing the management of patients presenting with morbidly adherent placenta, and evaluating gender differences in vascular and oncologic diseases.
