Since 2016, RadEqual has brought together imaging professionals to foster leadership development, mentorship, and meaningful industry connections.
RadEqual was founded in 2016 by Dr. Geraldine McGinty and industry leaders who recognized the need for a stronger community supporting professionals across radiology, informatics, and imaging technology.
As medical imaging processes have evolved, so has Intelerad. After nearly a decade of leadership, RadEqual founder Dr. Geraldine McGinty has transitioned day-to-day leadership of RadEqual to Dr. Nina Kottler. RadEqual continues to advance its mission of building meaningful connections, sharing knowledge, and supporting the next generation of imaging leaders.

Since its first gathering at the RSNA Annual Meeting, RadEqual has grown into an international network dedicated to mentorship, education, leadership development, and fostering greater representation across the medical imaging profession.
Today, under the leadership of Dr. Nina Kottler and the guidance of its steering committee, RadEqual continues to advance its mission of building meaningful connections, sharing knowledge, and supporting the next generation of imaging leaders.
An initiative driven by Dr. Geraldine McGinty, and Intelerad, RadEqual kicked off with its first in-person gathering at the RSNA Conference in November 2016. Since then, a steering committee was developed comprising thought leaders in the industry. RadEqual has executed partnerships with key professional societies, the American Association for Women in Radiology and the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine. Programming has included online and in-person events centered on building community and educating on topics related to leadership and career building. The broader RadEqual community has grown to over 200 strong members all interested in increasing diversity within the various disciplines related to medical imaging.
