The Problem<\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

Before InteleOrchestrator, Qscan faced a fragmented ecosystem after the rapid acquisition of 8 companies, each with their own reporting systems and toolsets. As Simon Button described, “We had around 150 radiologists decentralized…but with no ability to collaborate or share work.” This created challenges in managing report turnaround times with limited collaboration abilities among radiologists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/header><\/header><\/header><\/header><\/header><\/header><\/header>\n

The Rollout<\/h3>\n<\/header>\n

Qscan discovered InteleOrchestrator in 2018 at RSNA and the initial intention was to employ it as a tool, which never really took off.<\/p>\n

In 2022, the project was reimagined as a business-led initiative. This time, Button said, “It was seen very much as a transformation of the radiologist reporting experience…all about how we improve the radiologist productivity.”<\/p>\n

The rebooted effort was executed with a strong change management strategy including a phased rollout and focused attention on the painpoints for radiologists, so that they could understand how they can effectively use Intelerad\u2019s orchestrator to complement their workflows. Once Qscan coupled InteleOrchestrator with PowerScribe, they realized the productivity gains that were to come.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/header><\/header>

Maximizing Clinician Efficiency and Precision<\/h3>\n<\/header>\n
\n

The capability to configure sophisticated worklists easily and align them with shifts and rostering was a game-changer. Button states that \u201cif you understand the product and drive the benefits from what it’s really good at, it’s a very powerful tool and we could not find anything better than that on market.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ability to overflow subspecialty work around Qscan\u2019s network of doctors reduced the pressure on clinicians to complete all items on the worklist and drive efficiency in that the right case was always presented to the right doctor at the right time. InteleOrchestrator’s credentialing capability and worklist management allowed for essentially seamless sharing across a vast network of doctors.<\/p>\n

The integrations were the other key benefit that InteleOrchestrator brought when it came to Qscan\u2019s operations. Qscan was using InteleViewer\u2122 and PowerScribe and once they fully integrated these applications and configured hanging protocols, it created an incredibly rich and dynamic reporting experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/header><\/header><\/header><\/header><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Button recommends InteleOrchestrator, stating, “If you integrate it into your ecosystem…you’ve hit the sweet spot. I would recommend Intelerad\u2019s orchestrator to those who have complex businesses where they want to share work across a large cohort of doctors” without the need to harmonize PACS or ecosystems.<\/p>\n
